Pakistan PM calls Crown Prince to reaffirm full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received on Sunday a phone call from Pakistan Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif. During the call, they discussed developments and diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan's full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia. He expressed Pakistan’s condemnation of the attacks perpetrated against the Kingdom by the Houthi militia and its strong denunciation of the blatant violations of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The prime minister also affirmed his condemnation of the attacks targeting the Kingdom's vital oil infrastructure and reiterated Pakistan's support for the Kingdom's security. He commended Saudi Arabia’s restraint and its support for the Iraqi government's efforts to prevent the use of its territory to attack the Kingdom and neighboring countries.
