North American Aerospace Defense Command on Sunday intercepted two general aviation aircraft that violated temporary flight restrictions as President Donald Trump attended a tournament at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, reported Reuters. F-16 fighters safely escorted the two aircraft from restricted airspace, NORAD said in a statement. NORAD declined to say whether the pilots of the two aircraft had made a mistake, saying that it is up to the Federal Aviation Administration to make that determination. Pilots are required to check with the FAA to stay up to date about temporary airspace restrictions, NORAD said. The White House did not immediately return a request for comment on the incident. Trump is scheduled to fly back to Washington from Bedminster later Sunday after attending the LIV Golf event.
