Nazaha investigates 381 employees, arrests 158 over corruption charges

RIYADH — The Saudi Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has launched investigations into 381 employees and arrested 158 on corruption charges. The accused and arrested employees are from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. Nazaha has charged them with bribery and abuse of official positions.Nazaha initiated a number of criminal and administrative cases during September 2026, underscoring its continued efforts to strengthen integrity and confront corruption across government entities.The authority said on Thursday that it had investigated 381 employees and arrested 158 on corruption charges, with some of those arrested later released on bail. Nazaha also conducted 1,758 oversight visits during the last month. This was part of Nazaha’s intensified efforts to safeguard integrity and combat corruption in government entities.
