Dubai: The National Media Authority has taken legal action against a resident after she posted content on her social media account that was offensive to Emirati women, and violated media content standards stipulated in the Media Regulation Law and its executive regulations. The Authority also decided to suspend her advertising permit for three months.The authority affirmed that it will not tolerate any content that offends Emirati women or diminishes their status and national contributions, stressing the need for social media users to act responsibly when publishing content and to respect the values of society and its national identity.
