Kyauktaw, Myanmar: The death toll from a military airstrike on west Myanmar rose to 50 on Tuesday, two local aid workers said, the day after it struck a busy marketplace.
“The death toll has reached 50” after Monday’s airstrike on Kyauktaw town of Rakhine state, said aid worker Wai Hun Aung. A second local volunteer gave the same toll, requesting anonymity for security reasons.
