RIYADH — The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing affirmed that regulations governing the mobile vendor activity identify nine locations where the activity is prohibited. This is after taking into account of the aspects of safety, as well as maintaining smooth traffic flow and the proper use of public facilities, apart from enhancing quality of life in cities. Ministry Spokesperson Mohammed Al-Rasasmeh noted that the banned locations include road intersections, central road medians, parking spaces for persons with disabilities, entrances and exits of main roads, areas adjacent to traffic lights, public parking areas, bicycle lanes, and roads with heavy traffic, in addition to locations designated for police, traffic, civil defense, and ambulance services. The ministry called on the public to report violations related to the mobile vendor activity through the unified number 940 or the Balady application, contributing to their prompt handling and the preservation of the safety of roads and public facilities.
