Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received on Thursday a phone call from Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa to discuss efforts to de-escalate tension in the region. Al-Sharaa reiterated his country's condemnation of the attempted targeting of oil facilities in the Kingdom by Iran-backed militias in Iraq, stressing Syria's steadfast support for Saudi Arabia's security and sovereignty. The leaders reviewed relations and ways to advance cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria, in addition to discussing regional and international developments and ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and boost security and stability in the region.
