Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, reviewed the Ministry of Finance’s annual report for 2025, highlighting a year of achievements and continued progress in developing financial policies, enhancing sustainability, and strengthening the UAE’s global competitiveness.His Highness emphasised that achievements in the UAE are measured by their sustainability and by what is built for future generations in terms of opportunities, prosperity, and global leadership.In a post on the X platform, Sheikh Maktoum said the report reflects an exceptional year marked by strategic steps to improve government spending efficiency and further develop the tax system.He noted that the Ministry conducted nine auctions for Islamic treasury bonds worth AED 9.9 billion and launched the “Emirates Global Cadres” initiative, which aims to enable young Emiratis to work in regional and international financial institutions.Sheikh Maktoum reiterated that the UAE’s approach focuses on building a sustainable future, stating that achievements are ultimately measured by their long-term impact and contribution to prosperity and global leadership.
