A solemn ceremony was held to mark the transfer of the remains of the renowned Egyptian singer, Sheikh Salama Hegazi, from Sayeda Nafisa to a dedicated tomb at Imam El Shaffei.Hegazi, who passed away in 1918, was a pioneer of Arabic musical theatre. The procession was attended by a significant number of Egyptian actors and public figures. To commemorate his legacy, a bust of the late artist, created by the sculptor Antoine Haggar, was unveiled during the proceedings.
