The Kremlin said on Monday that it had not seen any specific information regarding new proposals for a peace settlement in Ukraine ahead of a meeting in Washington between the US and Ukrainian leaders. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is set to meet US President Donald Trump in Washington on Tuesday. A Ukrainian source said last week that US and Ukrainian officials had been discussing a proposal for an air ceasefire to take to Russian counterparts as part of a new round of peace talks. "This information appeared a few days ago, but so far it’s nothing more than media speculation," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. "There are no specific details. Nor are there any specific details regarding new proposals or initiatives," he said.
