JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have sent cables in reply, expressing their thanks to Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and the successful completion of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. Earlier, the Minister of Interior had sent a cable of thanks to the King and the Crown Prince, expressing appreciation for their tremendous efforts in ensuring the success of this year’s Hajj operation. The cable was sent on behalf of the emirs of various Saudi regions, members of the Supreme Hajj Committee, security personnel, and all those involved in the Hajj operation. In his reply cable, King Salman commended the interior minister’s remarks regarding the success of this year’s Hajj season despite the challenges facing the region. “This success is attributable first to the grace and blessings of God Almighty, and then to the exceptional efforts made by all concerned, as well as the comprehensive security, preventive, organizational, and service plans that were carefully prepared and effectively implemented. These plans enabled 1,707,301 pilgrims to perform their rituals and move between the holy sites with ease, comfort, and tranquility, in an atmosphere imbued with spirituality, peace, security, and faith,” the King said. “We closely followed the tremendous efforts undertaken by all sectors involved in serving the pilgrims and were pleased by the dedication, commitment, and excellence demonstrated by everyone in fulfilling the honor of serving the guests of God. We were equally gratified by the comfort, security, and peace of mind enjoyed by the pilgrims,” he added. The King praised God for the remarkable success of this year’s Hajj season and for enabling the Kingdom to serve the pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque. “We ask God Almighty to accept the pilgrims’ Hajj and return them safely and securely to their homelands. We also pray that He guides us to all that is beneficial for Islam and Muslims, grants us sincerity in word and deed, and makes all our actions devoted solely to His sake,” the King said in the cable. In his cable, the Crown Prince expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted by all those involved in the meticulous implementation of the Hajj plans across the security, health, preventive, organizational, service, and traffic sectors, as well as for the comprehensive oversight provided by the relevant authorities to ensure the comfort and well-being of pilgrims. “We ask God Almighty to accept the pilgrims’ Hajj, to grant us all success in serving them, and to protect the King and our beloved country, preserving its security, stability, and prosperity,” the Crown Prince said in the cable.
