ALBAWABA - Jordanian King Abdullah II held a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) and hinted at a possible agreement between Tehran and Washington to end the on-and-off war.
On Sept. 22, King Abdullah II attended a multilateral meeting along with other regional and Arab leaders with President Trump in New York; the King affirmed Jordan’s commitment to continuing to coordinate closely with the U.S. administration to advance peace and stability in the region, according to Jordan News Agency.
He also emphasized the need for the utmost restraint in response to current regional escalations.

After leaving the meeting room on Tuesday, the Jordanian King was asked by a journalist, "How was the meeting?" The King said, "Very good, thank you."
The journalist then asked, "Is a deal with Iran possible?"
King Abdullah II didn't answer, but crossed his fingers, which is a common sign of good luck or hope for a positive outcome.
