The Iranian Navy fired warning shots near hostile vessels after US destroyers attempted to approach the Strait of Hormuz, warning that any such move would be regarded as a violation of the ceasefire. In a statement released on Monday, the Iranian Army said US destroyers had attempted to move toward the Strait of Hormuz in the Sea of Oman after turning off their radar systems. According to the statement, the vessels were detected immediately after reactivating their radars and received radio warnings from the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army about the dangers of violating the ceasefire. The Army said Iranian naval forces later explicitly warned the American destroyers that any attempt to enter the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a breach of the ceasefire and would prompt a response from Iranian naval forces. It added that after the American-Zionist destroyers ignored the initial warning, the Navy fired warning shots using cruise missiles, rockets, and combat drones near the hostile vessels. The Army stressed that responsibility for the dangerous consequences of such actions would rest with the hostile enemy.
