RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has begun regularizing the status of all Yemeni nationals in Saudi Arabia who lack legal status and are covered by the recent royal directive. The process is being carried out through the Qiwa and Musaned platforms in coordination with relevant government agencies. The ministry stated that the regularization process began Sunday, and will continue for two months across all regions of Saudi Arabia. It covers Yemeni workers whose residency permits have expired, as well as those reported absent from work, provided they have valid travel documents and meet the approved procedures and regulations. The ministry noted that workers whose residency permits have expired can transfer to other employers who need their services through the relevant digital platforms. The Qiwa platform handles transfers of professional workers, while the Musaned platform handles transfers of support workers. These services are provided in coordination with the Absher platform, eliminating the need to visit government offices in person. The ministry added that workers who have been reported absent from work can also benefit from the regularization process. They can have their absence reports canceled and transferred to other employers who need their services. Professional workers can complete the process through Qiwa, while support workers can use Musaned, provided they have valid travel documents. The ministry said that providing these services online is part of coordinated efforts among government agencies to implement the directives. These efforts aimed to facilitate the regularization of workers' status and regulate worker transfers in accordance with approved rules and regulations. The ministry noted that this will help improve labor market efficiency and safeguard the rights of all parties to the contractual relationship.
