How will ‘Hob ala Waraq’ end based on the Turkish version?

ALBAWABA - The Arabic series "Hob ala Waraq" [Love on Paper] is approaching its final episode within two weeks, as fans question what the end of the series will be.

On Sunday, episode 82 aired on the Shahid platform at 8:00 p.m. and contained an unexpected turn of events which shocked so many people who had adored watching the series for months.

In Sunday's episode of the series "Hob ala Waraq" (Love on Paper), the dynamic between Aws and Leen shifts after it is revealed that Aws is suffering from amnesia, specifically, the loss of memories spanning an entire year of his life, including his relationship with Leen and that he was about to marry her before the accident he was subjected to.

Seizing the opportunity to shape Aws' perception of his past, Julie (his former girlfriend) gives him false details about his relationship with Leen; she characterizes their bond as nothing more than a "game," taking advantage of his inability to recall the events of the past year.

It is worth noting that the series "Hob ala Waraq" was inspired by the famous Turkish series "Sen Çal Kapımı" [Love Is in the Air // You Knock on My Door], starring Hande Erçel and Kerem Bürsin (playing the roles of Eda Yildiz and Serkan Bolat).

The Turkish version continued for three seasons and aired on Fox from July 8, 2020, to September 8, 2021. But the Arabic version is a shorter version of the Turkish drama.

"Hob ala Waraq", which is broadcast on the Shahid platform from Sunday to Thursday, will end with episode 90.

After gentle attempts to jog his memory failed, "Eda Yildiz" decided to resort to a risky ploy to shock him and make him jealous; she makes a plan with her childhood friend "Deniz" to stage a "fake" wedding ceremony, aiming to pressure Serkan into stopping the marriage if he harbored any feelings for her, and the plan works.

After some obstacles, Serkan finds himself in a harsh situation after knowing he has a serious disease (cancer). The illness drives him to make the harsh decision to separate from Eda once again so she does not have to suffer alongside him, leading to a five-year time jump in the story.

Eda travels to and settles in Italy for a time, where she gives birth to their daughter, Kiraz, without Serkan knowing of her existence. Serkan and Eda cross paths again by chance while working on a project; he later discovers he has a five-year-old daughter, and a new journey begins as they attempt to reunite the family.

The Turkish series "Sen Çal Kapımı" [Love Is in the Air // You Knock on My Door] ends when Serkan and Eda are married, and Eda is pregnant with their second child, surrounded by the people they love.
