Dubai: If you’re looking for a convenient way to arrange for your Eid sacrifice (udhiyah or qurbani), look no further than the DubaiNow app.Digital Dubai, in partnership with Dar Al Ber Society, launched the ‘Eid Sacrifice – Udhiyah’ service via the DubaiNow app, in 2022. The feature allows users to purchase and pay for the sacrifice in quick, simple steps, and even helps you determine the location where the slaughter and distribution will take place, whether inside or outside Dubai.We break down the steps to order, below.How to place an order for Eid sacrifice (udhiyah) on DubaiNow app:Download the DubaiNow app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.Navigate to the ‘Services’ tab, head to ‘Islam’ or ‘Donations’ category, and tap on the ‘Eid Sacrifice’ service.Select your preference, on how and where you would like the sacrifice to be handled: Buy and distribute inside the UAE Buy and distribute outside the UAE Buy from outside the UAE and distribute inside the UAEOnce you have made your selection, complete the transaction by paying securely through the app, using your credit/debit card.You will receive a confirmation via email once the payment is successful.Cost: The UAE’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) sets official udhiyah rates each year. This year, prices range from Dh350 to Dh800, depending on the type of animal being slaughtered, and whether the sacrifice and distribution is carried out locally or internationally.
