The body does not lose fat through a single process. Instead, it does so through breathing, sweating and urination simultaneously. According to Maouad, fat is a source of energy and contains carbon. When the body burns fat, it is converted into carbon dioxide and water. Some of the carbon dioxide leaves the body through the lungs when we breathe, while other waste products are eliminated through sweating and urination. However, most of the fat lost by the body leaves through the lungs as carbon dioxide during breathing, rather than through sweating, as many people believe.
