Hamdan bin Mohammed awards Dubai-it government sector prize to RTA for delivering projects at record speed

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has announced that the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has won the Dubai-it Award in the government sector institutions category.In a post on X, Sheikh Hamdan said the award was launched to reinforce Dubai's philosophy of work established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai."We announced the Dubai-it Award some time ago, to consolidate Dubai's work philosophy established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum... An exceptional achievement, in record time, and with high quality. This is the meaning of Dubai-it, and this is a culture that created Dubai's development experience. We annually honour the individuals, institutions and projects that embody it through actions and results," he said.Sheikh Hamdan said the RTA was selected for making the Dubai-it approach evident in both its largest projects and smallest operational details. He added that the authority completes major road, bridge and tunnel projects at twice the global average for speed and efficiency while maintaining high quality standards."The metro's punctuality reached 99.7%, with the continuous expansion of the metro network and the development of stations. Autonomous mobility experiences were developed and cycling tracks were expanded and upgraded with high quality and record speed," Sheikh Hamdan said.He added: "This is how we want our institutions to be: ahead of the city's needs, respecting people's time, and embodying Dubai's speed and quality of work.
