ALBAWABA - Neslihan Atagül’s highly anticipated return to television has taken another major step forward, with Halit Özgür Sarı officially joining her as the male lead in the upcoming series Kaderin Cilvesi (Twist of Fate).
The Ay Yapım production has been in preparation for several months, and the identity of Atagül’s co-star had been one of the biggest questions surrounding the project. Earlier reports said Sarı was in talks for the role. The latest update confirms that an agreement has now been reached with the actor.
Sarı will star opposite Atagül in what is shaping up to be a character-driven drama. The series will be directed by Nadim Güç, while the screenplay is being written by Özlem Yılmaz and Anıl Eke, the writers associated with Atagül’s acclaimed series Kara Sevda.
The project originally emerged under the code name Kaderin Cilvesi. Early reports described it as a strong female drama centered on a woman who previously worked in the entertainment industry and later finds herself fighting to rebuild her life and challenge the circumstances surrounding her.
Atagül will play Peri, a nightclub dancer. Sarı, meanwhile, will portray Adem, a taxi driver. Their characters are expected to form the central pairing of the new drama.

Her last television series was Gecenin Ucunda, which aired during the 2022–2023 season. Before that, she became internationally known for projects including Kara Sevda, Fatih Harbiye and Sefirin Kızı.
Her new project also reunites her with the writers of Kara Sevda. Özlem Yılmaz and Anıl Eke, who worked on the Emmy-winning drama, are writing Kaderin Cilvesi, creating an interesting connection to one of the most important series of Atagül’s career.

Sarı had already hinted that an important project was ahead of him before the casting news became official.
In an interview earlier this month, the actor spoke positively about his next project, describing it as a respected production with a strong script and cast. His comments now appear to have been referring to Kaderin Cilvesi, following the confirmation of his agreement with Ay Yapım.
The role comes after Sarı’s recent work in Alıkara, where he stars opposite Miray Daner. He has also gained recognition through series including Kardeşlerim and Yabani, building a strong following among younger Turkish drama audiences.
