ALBAWABA - Halit Özgür Sarı and Özge Yağız are back together on screen in 'Tell Me Troy', a new mini-series that combines romance, mythology and the historic beauty of Türkiye’s North Aegean region. Filming has now been completed, according to Turkish media reports, with the production set to introduce international audiences to some of the country’s most distinctive destinations.
The series is the latest project from Go Türkiye, the promotional mini-series initiative developed by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). The project follows the agency’s previous productions featuring well-known Turkish actors and uses fictional stories to showcase the country’s cultural heritage and tourist attractions.
Halit Özgür Sarı and Özge Yağız Play Former Lovers
In 'Tell Me Troy', Halit Özgür Sarı plays Aras, while Özge Yağız portrays Bade. Their characters are former lovers whose unresolved relationship takes a new turn during an unexpected journey.
The reunion is particularly notable because the two actors previously appeared together in the Turkish drama 'Gözleri Karadeniz'. Their new project gives them another romantic storyline, although the setting and characters are different from their earlier work.
Turkish entertainment journalist Birsen Altuntaş first reported the casting on October 5, revealing that the pair would lead the new Go Türkiye production. Initial reports said filming was planned to take place over five days, with Çanakkale serving as a key location.
The story follows a group of film students who leave Istanbul in search of inspiration for their graduation projects. Their journey takes them through the North Aegean, where they work on their screenplays while encountering unexpected developments.
The students’ creative journey draws inspiration from the world of ancient Greek literature, particularly Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey. Against this backdrop, the relationship between Aras and Bade begins to change as the pair confronts feelings and experiences left unresolved in the past.

The production is designed to bring together a personal love story and the region’s historical identity. Its locations span Çanakkale, Balıkesir and İzmir, highlighting the North Aegean’s landscapes, cultural traditions and connections to ancient history.
The title 'Tell Me Troy' also points to the region’s association with Troy, one of the most famous settings in classical mythology. The ancient city is located in Çanakkale, making the province a natural focal point for a production built around the meeting of history and modern storytelling.
Storymagez is producing the mini-series, with Emre Kavuk and Mustafa Uğur Yağcıoğlu sharing directing duties. The project forms part of TGA’s wider effort to promote Türkiye through short, story-driven productions featuring popular actors.
According to reports published on October 16, the Go Türkiye mini-series initiative has accumulated approximately 10.5 billion impressions and 6.5 billion views across its previous productions. 'Tell Me Troy' adds another title to a collection that has already introduced international viewers to different parts of the country.
