Hajj violators face SR20,000 fines, deportation and 10-year re-entry ban

RIYADH — Fines of up to SR20,000 and a 10-year ban could be given to violators of Hajj regulations, which will take effect from Dhu Al-Qi’dah 1 (April 18) until the end of Dhu Al-Hijjah 14 (May 31), warns the Ministry of Interior The ministry clarified that individuals caught performing or attempting to perform Hajj without a permit will face a fine, while resident violators will be deported to their home countries and banned from re-entering the Kingdom for 10 years. The ministry urged all citizens and residents to strictly adhere to Hajj regulations and to cooperate with the competent authorities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims. The public is encouraged to report any violators of these regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom.
