Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has received separate phone calls from Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. During the calls on Tuesday, they discussed the latest developments in the region and stressed the importance of continuing efforts to de-escalate tensions and safeguard freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, thereby helping to mitigate the security and economic repercussions of the crisis. The condemnation and denunciation of the attacks carried out by Iran and its affiliated terrorist militias in Iraq and Yemen were also renewed. Full solidarity was reaffirmed in confronting anything that threatens the security and stability of the countries of the region, and all acts that undermine regional security and stability were rejected. The importance of continued coordination and consultation in support of regional security and stability, and of strengthening joint GCC action, was also emphasized.
