Gargash: UAE remains firmly on development path despite regional challenges

Abu Dhabi: Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, affirmed that the UAE continues to advance its development and economic agenda with confidence and resilience despite regional challenges.In a post on his official account on the social media platform X, Gargash said: "Despite the difficult regional circumstances and the challenges facing the region, the UAE continues its developmental and economic journey with confidence and steadfastness, adhering to its vision for the future and the strength of the Emirati model."His remarks came after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that the UAE's non-oil foreign trade delivered historic results during the first half of 2026.Sheikh Mohammed said non-oil foreign trade reached AED1.937 trillion in the first six months of the year, marking annual growth of 13.1 per cent, while non-oil exports hit a record AED452.8 billion.Gargash's comments underscored the UAE's continued focus on economic growth and long-term development amid a challenging regional environment.
