FM reviews efforts to curb illegal migration

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with Chairman of the National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing Illegal Migration Amr Ramadan. During the meeting, the foreign minister discussed the state’s efforts to curb illegal migration, pathways for regular migration, and programs to prepare the youth for external labor markets, in addition to enhancing cooperation with regional and international partners to develop integrated projects to combat migrant smuggling. For his part, Ramadan reviewed the features of the new national strategy to combat illegal migration (2027–2036), which is being developed, as well as the efforts and activities of the various national bodies that are members of the national coordinating committee during the first quarter of the current year.
