Five Egyptians arrested for entering Makkah without a Hajj permit

Makkah — Makkah region police arrested five Egyptian residents for violating Hajj regulations and instructions by entering and remaining in Makkah without obtaining a Hajj permit. They also documented and shared the violation on social media. Legal action has been taken against the arrested Egyptians.The General Directorate of Public Security urged all the people in Saudi Arabia to comply with the regulations governing the 2026 Hajj season and to cooperate with relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims, stressing that violators will face legal penalties.The directorate also called for the prompt reporting of violators via the unified number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
