Exclusive: Details of visa-free travel to Europe expected at GCC-EU summit

During the upcoming EU-GCC summit on October 24 in Riyadh, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi announced that a significant step towards waiving Schengen visa requirements for citizens of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait is anticipated. Currently, only the UAE enjoys visa-free travel in the Schengen Area, and although positive developments regarding this issue are expected, a GCC-EU Free Trade Agreement is unlikely to be resolved at this summit.
