Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Eissa attended the opening ceremony of the sixth World Nomad Games in Bishkek on the sidelines of his visit to Kyrgyzstan to represent President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation summit. The ceremony, held at Bishkek Arena, was attended by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, around 15 heads of state and leaders from SCO member and partner countries, as well as representatives of international organisations. Athletes, coaches and official delegations from numerous countries took part in the games, which coincided with Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day celebrations and the 2026 SCO summit. The opening featured cultural and sporting performances highlighting the diversity of the participating nations. Egypt’s participation reflects its efforts to strengthen its international presence at cultural and sporting events, deepen cooperation with SCO members and partners, and reinforce ties with Kyrgyzstan, the statement said.
