Egypt wraps up W. Cup preparations for Argentina

ATLANTA (United States) – Egypt’s senior national football team, led by head coach Hossam Hassan, concluded its preparations for its Round of 16 clash against Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm Cairo time on Tuesday. Twenty-four players took part in Egypt’s final training session, while Mohamed Abdel Monem and Ahmed Fattouh continued their rehabilitation programs. The training session was attended by Hany Abo Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and supervisor of the national team; Khaled El-Dirandly, EFA Vice President and head of the Egyptian delegation at the World Cup; as well as board members Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Mostafa Abo Zahra, Mohamed Abo Hussein, and Tarek Abo El-Enein.
