The 2026 World Junior Weightlifting Championships officially kicked off in Ismailia with a spectacular opening ceremony at the Suez Canal Authority Hall. Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil inaugurated the tournament alongside leaders from the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and Major General Nabil El-Sayed Hasaballah, Governor of Ismailia.
