ALGIERS — The Egyptian junior women’s sabre team won the bronze medal at the Junior World Cup held in Oran, Algeria.
Egypt defeated France 45-29 in the quarter-finals before losing to Italy by the same score in the semi-finals.
The team secured the bronze medal by defeating Georgia 45-44 with a decisive touch.
The squad included Nagwa Nofal, Khadija Abou Alam, Anan Hegazy and Khadija Kassem led by coach Khaled Sherif and delegation head Medhat Shokry.
