They earned their spot in the top eight after a dramatic 28–27 victory over South Korea, marking their fourth win in a row. The match started tough for Egypt. South Korea took early control of the game, taking a 6–1 lead while Egypt struggled to score in the opening minutes. However, Egypt quickly found their rhythm and fought back, tying the score at 13–13 by halftime.
