By Mohamed Attia The German air navigation service provider, Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), recently hosted a delegation from Egypt’s National Air Navigation Services Company (NANSC) to strengthen joint co-operation, transfer specialised knowledge, and modernise air navigation services. The visiting delegation was led by NANSC Chairman Ihab Mohie El-Din Azmy and Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAN) Assistant Chairman Ahmed Matar. During the visit, the Egyptian delegation met with senior DFS executives, including DFS CEO Arndt Schoenemann, DFS Aviation Services Managing Director Andreas Pötzsch, and Director General of Training Sabine Rack. Discussions focused on expanding joint initiatives, sharing expertise, and reviewing the latest developments in Air Traffic Management (ATM). The delegation also toured the DFS A² Academy and the air traffic control centre in Langen to observe Germany’s specialised facilities and operational standards. As part of this ongoing partnership, Egyptian specialists from NANSC are participating in advanced training programmes hosted by DFS.
