Egypt has strongly condemned an Israeli strike that targeted a Lebanese army patrol, killing two officers and a soldier, describing the incident as a dangerous escalation and a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty. In a statement issued on Sunday, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said it was following developments in Lebanon with grave concern and criticised the continued Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory. Egypt called on the international community to take action to halt the Israeli repeated violations and to ensure respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
