Egypt condemns attack targeting border crossings in Kuwait

Egypt strongly condemned an attack targeting two sites at the northern land border crossings in Kuwait, carried out using two explosive-laden drones. In a statement on Saturday, 25/4/2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates asserted Egypt’s categorical rejection of any infringement on Kuwait’s sovereignty or any attempt to undermine its security and stability. The statement stressed that Kuwait’s security is an integral part of Egypt’s national security. Egypt also expressed its full solidarity and support for the government and people of Kuwait, as well as for all brotherly Gulf states, in confronting such heinous attacks. It further affirmed its support for all measures undertaken by the Kuwaiti authorities to safeguard borders, protect national resources, and ensure the safety of citizens and residents alike.
