The leaders of Egypt and Bahrain discussed on Wednesday bilateral relations and regional and international developments. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in El Alamein. A statement from the Egyptian presidency said the summit aimed to deepen cooperation between their countries in various fields. Sisi had on Monday recieved a telephone call from King Hamad. They underscored their common positions on regional crises and joint efforts to restore stability and peace. Sisi expressed Egypt’s constant commitment to supporting Bahrain on various levels, condemning Iranian attacks on the kingdom. He hailed the measures the Bahraini leadership has taken to protect the country.
