UAE has announced additional precautionary and proactive measures for arrivals from three African countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Uganda and the Republic of South Sudan.The move is aimed at enhancing national preparedness to deal with health developments related to the Ebola virus outbreak and ensuring the protection of community health and safety, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority has said.The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security jointly announced the precautionary measures which will take effect at 13:00 on Saturday, 6 June 2026.The measures include:Suspension of all new visa issuance for nationals of the three countries, including visit visas.Entry to the UAE will be restricted for travellers arriving from the listed countries, including those travelling or transit through other countries.Entry will only be permitted for travellers who have spent more than 21 days outside the listed countries before arriving in the UAE.The statement also said the cargo flights between the UAE and the three countries will continue without disruption. Transit flights will also continue without disruption.The precautionary measures may be extended depending on the health situation.
