Dubai’s Community Development Authority partners with Louis Vuitton to boost careers for Emirati talent and people of determination

Dubai: The Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global luxury brand Louis Vuitton to expand career opportunities for Emirati talent and People of Determination, supporting skills development and workforce inclusion across the retail, fashion and craftsmanship sectors.The partnership aims to open new professional pathways for Emiratis in specialised and creative fields, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global model for social and economic empowerment and highlighting CDA’s role in fostering a sustainable, productive and inclusive community.Under the MoU, the two entities will collaborate to develop skills in areas such as tailoring, repairs and craftsmanship, as well as inventory management, retail sales and communication. The agreement also places a strong emphasis on integrating People of Determination into the workforce through targeted training programmes, supported employment opportunities, assistive technologies and tailored workplace accommodations.The partnership further seeks to promote a sustainable, community-driven business environment, support long-term career growth for Emirati men and women, and strengthen corporate social responsibility and volunteer initiatives, with particular focus on women’s empowerment and People of Determination.Maitha Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at the Community Development Authority in Dubai, said the MoU reflects CDA’s efforts to advance the economic and social empowerment of Emirati citizens and People of Determination by equipping them with practical skills aligned with labour market needs and facilitating access to sustainable career opportunities.She added that the partnership with Louis Vuitton demonstrates the strength of public-private collaboration in supporting Emirati talent and enabling their active contribution to society and the economy. Al Shamsi noted that the initiative aims to create long-term career pathways and meaningful prospects that enhance financial independence and quality of life, while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a hub for empowerment and integrated economic opportunities.Miguel Vargas, Managing Director of Louis Vuitton Middle East, said the agreement reflects the brand’s long-standing commitment to supporting Emirati talent and advancing meaningful inclusion for People of Determination in the region. He emphasised that investing in specialised training, supported employment pathways and workplace accommodations helps create real career opportunities across retail, client experience and craftsmanship, while contributing to a more inclusive, empowered and sustainable society.The signing of the MoU aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which focuses on empowering Emirati citizens, enhancing their economic participation and building a balanced and sustainable society by placing people at the centre of development. It also underscores a shared commitment by both parties to integration, knowledge exchange and coordinated efforts to deliver long-term economic and social impact, particularly for youth and People of Determination.
