Dubai: Dubai has been named the world's most Instagrammable city in 2026, while the Burj Khalifa has claimed the top spot as the planet's most photographed and searched landmark, according to a new global study by PlayersTime.The study assessed more than 240 destinations worldwide using a special ‘Instagrammability Score’, which combines Google search demand with the volume of destination-related hashtags on Instagram and TikTok to measure a location's digital visibility.Dubai achieved a perfect Instagrammability Score of 100, after receiving more than 190 million combined Instagram and TikTok posts and 3.43 million monthly Google searches.Burj Khalifa leads global landmark rankingsThe Burj Khalifa also topped the landmark rankings with a huge margin, getting a perfect score of 100. According to the report, it generated more than 10.1 million tagged posts across social media and attracted 1.1 million monthly Google searches. The Eiffel Tower ranked second with an Instagrammability Score of 73.22, recording 8.63 million tagged posts and 662,000 monthly searches.The study especially noted how the world’s tallest building, which was completed only in 2010, rivalled centuries old attractions in grabbing attention on social media.How other cities performedLondon and Paris secured the next spots when it came to ‘Instagramability’, while Barcelona emerged as the world's most searched city, generating approximately 23 million monthly Google searches. New York City also ranked among the Top 5 Instagrammable cities, with more than 165 million social media posts.
