Dubai Summer Surprises 2026: Final weekend packed with concerts, comedy and family events

Dubai: Dubai Summer Surprises enters its final days with a packed program until tomorrow, August 30, concluding a 60-day season that offered residents and visitors a wide range of concerts, entertainment, family experiences, food, shopping, and rewards.The closing weekend takes on special momentum with a range of musical and comedy performances, most notably today, with the “Miami Show” at the Coca-Cola Arena. The show features members of the Miami band, Khaled and Meshaal, along with Kuwaiti actor Mohammed Al-Hamli, who plays the role of narrator. Maestro Ahmed Al-Oud leads a live orchestra, with the participation of more than 40 performers and dancers, in addition to cinematic scenes, specially designed costumes, stage sets and visual effects. There is also a concert that brings together Filipino pop stars Eli Buendia and Chito Miranda, along with comedy performances by Jimmy Carr, Atul Khatri, Gaurav Kapoor and Rami Jaber.The final days of the season coincide with the start of the new school year, offering families a variety of entertainment options, including the interactive "Grotopia" experience at the Waterfront Souk, which runs until August 31, and free entry for children to Madame Tussauds Dubai. The "Dish for 10 Dirhams" experience, allowing visitors to sample selected dishes at over 170 participating restaurants across Dubai, also continues until tomorrow.Musical performancesThe closing weekend kicks off with a performance by Rami Jaber, who made his Dubai debut at JAFZA One, in an evening based on Arabic comedy, everyday situations, family and culture, in a fast-paced interactive style.Dubai Opera welcomes British comedian Jimmy Carr with his show "Love's Funny," while Indian comedian Atul Khatri performs at the Emirates Theatre in Jumeirah, and Gaurav Kapoor returns to the Dubai World Trade Centre with a new stand-up comedy show.The concerts conclude tomorrow with a performance by Eli Buendia and Chito Miranda at the Coca-Cola Arena. The children learned about methods of growing plants inside vertical farms without soil, the importance of light and water in food production, as well as the journey of local ingredients from farm to table.The experience includes hands-on activities and educational stations, and each child receives a small planting pot to continue the experience at home, while the “Little Explorers Passport” allows families to take part in a range of challenges and activities in different areas of the waterfront market.Madame Tussauds Dubai also offers families the benefit of a free entry offer for children, where a child aged 11 or younger receives free entry for every adult who pays for a ticket, in an opportunity to explore more than 60 wax figures, including 16 figures of stars from the Middle East.Food and shopping offersIn the restaurant sector, the "10-Dirham Dish" experience continues until August 30, offering selected dishes for Dh10 at over 170 participating restaurants across more than 700 locations in Dubai. The experience includes a variety of Asian dishes, desserts, and coffee, and requires no prior reservations or vouchers.The final week also features special offers for luxury shopping enthusiasts within the "Luxury Edition of Dubai Summer Surprises," which offers exclusive experiences in fashion, beauty and lifestyle, along with limited-edition collections, product previews and additional gifts and rewards.
