Dubai Police On The Go: 6 services you can access without visiting a police station

Dubai: Did you know, you don’t have to visit a Dubai Police station to sort out minor issues? The law enforcement authorities bring a number of services to you, through petrol stations and smart digital solutions around the emirate. It’s all thanks to the Dubai Police’s On The Go initiative. What is Dubai Police’s On The Go initiative? On The Go extends Dubai Police’s services beyond conventional police stations. By partnering with fuel stations, and creating smart apps and mobility solutions across the emirate, the initiative provides customer-centric experiences, with convenience and efficiency as its core objective.Launched in 2015, the On The Go initiative initially aimed at enabling motorists to report minor accidents at ENOC's service stations, instead of going to a police station, where they may have had to wait in a queue to report an accident. In May this year, the authorities announced that they had expanded the initiative from five locations to nearly 2,000 service points, making police services faster and more accessible for residents. You can avail of it at any autopro, ENOC, ADNOC, and Emarat station in Dubai. The initiative has also grown to six services, beyond fuel stations; for instance, you can avail of their delivery service for lost-and-found items, and report cybercrimes conveniently through a convenient smart app.Which services are available via On The Go? Here is the complete list of services available through the initiative, and how to access each one.1. The authorities encourage residents not to call them for non-emergencies, and instead, use their On The Go initiative as a convenient solution.Note that this service is available if the vehicles can still be driven, all parties agree on what happened and there is no dispute, no one was injured, and the accident involves only cosmetic or light vehicle damage.Follow these steps to report a simple accident via On The Go:Drive to the nearest autopro, ENOC, ADNOC or Emarat petrol station.Inform the staff attendant that you would like to file a minor accident report.Provide your driving licence, vehicle registration card and insurance details. The staff is trained to inspect the vehicles involved, and take photographs of the damage. The staff will then prepare and submit the official accident report on your behalf. You will receive your Dubai Police accident report in both digital and printed formats.Fee: Dh5202. According to the Dubai Police website, you cannot proceed with getting your vehicle repaired without a police report, as insurance companies will not cover repair costs without this report. On The Go makes the unknown accident reporting process easy and convenient for non-emergencies, like scrapes and minor dents.
