Dubai: His Excellency Major General Hareb Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs at Dubai Police, attended the ceremony honouring outstanding police stations during the second quarter of 2026. The recognition celebrated the efforts of police and administrative personnel and the teams that contributed to enhancing security performance indicators and delivering the finest police services to the community, in pursuit of Dubai Polices’ strategic objectives of strengthening safety and security.The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Major General Eid Mohammed Thani, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs; Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; Brigadier Majid Sultan Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Police Stations; his deputy for Deira Police Stations Affairs, Brigadier Saeed Al Madhani; his deputy for Bur Dubai Police Stations Affairs, Brigadier Rashid Al Shehhi; alongside a number of general department directors, police station directors, and officers.During the ceremony, Major General Hareb Al Shamsi affirmed that institutional excellence is a cornerstone of the policing system, reflecting the wise leadership's vision to reinforce leadership, elevate quality of life, and enhance community security. The Criminal Monitoring and Analysis Team at Al Rashidiya Police Station won the Best Criminal Team Award, while the Traffic Phenomena Team at Al Barsha Police Station claimed the Best Traffic Team Award. The Operational Cost Reduction Team, also from Al Rashidiya Police Station, secured the Best Administrative Team Award, and the Communication Team from the Victim Support Centre received the Best Specialist Team Award.Outstanding Police StationsIn the category of "Best Police Station Achieving 100% Security Coverage", the winners were Al Barsha Police Station, Naif Police Station, Al Muraqqabat Police Station, the Mounted Police Station, Nad Al Sheba Police Station, and Hatta Police Station.Meanwhile, in the category of “Best Police Stations in the Completion of Transactions and Criminal Reports”, Al Qusais Police Station secured first place in Category (A), while Al Raffa Police Station won Category (B) and Hatta Police Station won Category (C), in recognition of their excellence in meeting performance indicators, quality of completion, and speed of response.Furthermore, in the category of “Best Police Station in Speed of Response to Critical Emergencies”, Al Faqqa and Al Raffa Police Stations were the winners.The ceremony also honoured outstanding achievers from Bur Dubai police stations, Deira police stations, specialised centres, and general departments across Dubai Police General Command that partnered in realising the objectives of the police stations.The ceremony featured a special tribute to Brigadier Sultan Al Owais, Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, for his prominent role and the lasting mark he left during his tenure as Deputy Director of the General Department of Police Stations for Deira Police Stations Affairs.
