Dubai: Growing demand for the five-year multiple-entry tourist visa

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai called on those wishing to visit the emirate to choose the type of visa that suits the purpose and nature of the visit, explaining that Dubai provides a diverse range of visit visas to meet the needs of different categories. These options include the single-entry tourist visa that is extendable, the visitor visa for a relative or friend, and the events visa, in addition to the five-year multiple-entry tourist visa, which is the ideal option for people who visit Dubai frequently. The authority noted that this type of visa has witnessed increasing demand since its launch, due to the flexibility and ease of movement it provides, which enhances the visitor experience and consolidates Dubai's position as a global destination for tourism and business.Dubai Immigration explained that the first half of this year witnessed continuous growth in the visa and entry permit system, as the department continued to provide the five-year multiple-entry tourist visa, and issued more than 29,456 visit visas for relatives or friends, which provide options for stays of 30, 60 or 90 days, for one or multiple trips, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 120 days, in addition to issuing 73,551 entry visas for nationals of some countries residing outside of them, in indicators that reflect the flexibility of the system and its ability to keep pace with the rapid growth in travel and visitation to Dubai.Visas for citizens of some countries residing outside of them offer options for a stay of 14 days, extendable for the same period, or 60 days, through streamlined digital procedures that contribute to accelerating the completion of applications and improving customer experience. Meanwhile, the administration continued to offer the Events Visa, dedicated to receiving participants and visitors coming to the UAE to attend events, conferences, exhibitions and various activities, with options for a stay of 30 or 60 days, for a single or multiple trip, extendable up to a maximum of 120 days, which supports the events sector and enhances the country’s position as a global center for hosting major events.GDRFA Dubai continued to offer its Golden Visa services within an integrated system targeting select groups, including investors, artistic and sporting talents, scientists and specialists, outstanding students and graduates, entrepreneurs, and humanitarians. This contributes to attracting talent, expertise, and investments, and provides beneficiaries with numerous advantages, including renewable long-term residency, residency for spouses and children, self-sponsorship, and continued residency for family members in the event of the head of household's death. As part of diversifying long-term residency options, the GDRFA continues to offer residency specifically for retirees, in accordance with established criteria and conditions.
