Dubai Financial Market adds 59,108 new investor accounts in first eight months of 2026

Dubai: The Dubai Financial Market has cemented its investment appeal by adding 59,108 new accounts in the first eight months of this year, thanks to the strong results of companies and banks for the first half of 2026, as well as the diversity of investment options and tools, and the gains achieved by the market for major companies and stocks, which has positively impacted the attraction of new segments of investors.Brokerage firms in the Dubai market added 59,108 new investor accounts from January 1 to the end of August, compared to 58,392 accounts in the same period of 2025, a growth of 1.2%.The new accounts were distributed as follows: 6,339 accounts in January, 5,644 accounts in February, 12,837 accounts in March, 7,356 accounts in April, 5,210 accounts in May, 6,864 accounts in June, 11,366 accounts in July, and 3,492 accounts last August.New accountsBHM Capital Financial Services acquired the largest share of new investor accounts in the first eight months with 19,498 accounts, followed by Emirates NBD Securities with approximately 12,320 accounts, then Al Ramz Capital with 8,480 accounts, Abu Dhabi Islamic Securities with 7,378 accounts, Mashreq Securities with 3,940 accounts, and First Abu Dhabi Securities with 1,952 accounts.The brokerage firms in the Dubai Financial Market, which currently number 28, executed more than 5.63 million transactions during eight months on approximately 80.97 billion shares worth Dh293.92 billion.Brokerage firmsMonthly data from the Dubai Financial Market showed that EFG Hermes UAE continued to lead the brokerage firms operating in the market since the beginning of 2026, after also topping the ranking of brokerage firms during the month of August, with a trading value of Dh6.7 billion, accounting for 23% of the total trading value.Securities Numbers came in second with a trading value of Dh4.7 billion, and a share of 15.9% of total trading, followed by BHM Capital Financial Services with a value of Dh3.4 billion, and a share of 11.7%.The total value of trades in the Dubai Financial Market during the past month of August reached approximately Dh29.2 billion, executed through 28 brokerage firms, while 3,492 new accounts were opened.
