Coalition Destroys Two Ballistic Missile Launch Platforms in Saada

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said it destroyed two ballistic missile launch platforms in Saada province early on Saturday. Late on Friday, coalition spokesman Major General Turki al-Malki said the coalition had foiled attempts to smuggle weapons by sea to Houthi militia forces in Hodeidah province. Al-Malki posted a video on X showing strikes targeting the arms-smuggling operations, saying: “We strike them on land ... we sink them at sea.” The UN Security Council had strongly condemned on Thursday the ongoing and escalating Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, including those that hit civil aviation and energy infrastructure, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries. In a statement, the Security Council expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia affirming the kingdom’s inherent right to self-defense in accordance with international law. The statement called on the Houthis to immediately halt their military escalation and attacks targeting civilians. It reiterated the Security Council’s support for the Yemeni government and its strong commitment to Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
