DUBAI — Citibank said it has temporarily closed several branches and financial centers in the United Arab Emirates from March 12 to March 14 as a precautionary measure amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The bank said it expects all affected locations to reopen on March 16, while its branch at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai will remain operational during the period.Earlier this week, Citibank also offered employees in the UAE the option to work remotely, including the possibility of working from outside the country. The measures come after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps threatened to target “economic centers and banks” linked to U.S. and Israeli entities across the region.Regional tensions have escalated following the conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, prompting several institutions to adopt precautionary measures.
