China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning on Wednesday highlighted three prominent landmarks in Cairo as products of co-operation between China and Egypt. In a post on X, Mao shared photographs of the Iconic Tower, Africa’s tallest building at 385.8 metres, and Egypt’s light rail transit system, the country’s first electric light railway. She also posted images of an assembly, integration and testing centre for satellites, which has made Egypt the first African country with integrated satellite assembly capabilities.
