The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced a six-day holiday for banking sector during Eid al-Adha. The CBE said in a statement on Tuesday that all banks operating in Egypt will be closed from Tuesday, May 26, until Sunday, May 31, in observance of the Day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha. It confirmed that banking operations will resume on Monday, June 1. Banks are usually open to customers daily from 8:30 am to three pm, except for Friday and Saturday, which are the weekend holidays.
