Can Yaman is preparing to meet Spanish audiences with a new project that marks an important step in his international career. His upcoming series, 'El Laberinto de las Mariposas' (The Butterfly Labyrinth), will premiere on AMC+ on November 13, 2026, bringing the Turkish actor to the screen in his first series filmed in Spain and entirely in Spanish.
The announcement was made by AMC Global Media on October 21, confirming the release date for the eight-episode production. The series is produced in collaboration with Secuoya Studios and combines romance, espionage, action, and a dangerous conspiracy.

In 'El Laberinto de las Mariposas', Yaman plays a secret agent whose career takes an unexpected turn after he is betrayed. Once known for his impeccable professional record, he suddenly becomes the most wanted man in Spain.
Determined to clear his name, the agent begins a race against time to uncover the people behind a multimillion-euro robbery involving public funds. As the investigation develops, he finds himself caught in a dangerous web of secrets, betrayal, and unexpected relationships.
Romance also plays a central role in the story. As he tries to expose the conspiracy and prove his innocence, the agent discovers that falling in love could put his mission at risk. At the same time, those feelings may become his only chance of finding salvation.
The combination of suspense, action, and romance gives the series a different feel from the romantic comedies that first brought Yaman widespread international recognition.

Yaman leads a cast featuring several familiar faces from Spanish television. María de Nati, Andrea Duro, and Félix Gómez are among the principal cast members, alongside Noa Rollón, Michelle Calvo, Leander Vyvey, Paco Tous, Marta Solaz, Víctor Clavijo, Antonio Gil, and Jorge Suquet.
The production brings together actors with experience across Spanish drama, crime series, and thrillers, supporting the story’s mix of investigation and emotional conflict.
Alberto Ruiz Rojo and Iñaki Peñafiel direct the series. Eduardo Galdo, who created the original concept, serves as an executive producer alongside Lele Portas. Ángela Obón and Daniel Corpas wrote the screenplay.
Secuoya Studios announced the project in November 2025, describing it as an eight-episode romantic thriller and highlighting Yaman’s debut in a series filmed in Spain and in Spanish.
