MADRID — FC Barcelona has confirmed the permanent signing of Egypt international Hamza Abdelkarim on a deal running until 2029 after the youngster impressed during his loan spell with the club’s reserve team. The Catalan giants informed Al-Ahly SC that they had activated the purchase option in Abdelkarim’s contract, securing the young forward on a permanent deal for the next three seasons until June 30, 2029, the club said in a statement on its official website.
