Dr Alaa Ashour has been awarded Fellowship status (FRAeS) by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), one of the world’s most prestigious professional institutions in the fields of aerospace. The FRAeS is the highest level of membership granted by the Society. It is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievements, significant contributions, and distinguished leadership in the aviation and aerospace sector. This status is widely recognised internationally as a mark of excellence, advanced expertise, and professional distinction. Ashour expressed his pride in receiving the fellowship, noting that his selection by the Royal Aeronautical Society represents recognition of his professional efforts over years of work in the aviation industry. Ashour has extensive experience across various fields of aviation. Throughout his career, Ashour has held several senior leadership positions within EgyptAir, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EgyptAir Airlines and Chairman of EgyptAir Cargo.
